Welcome to JKPL's Teen/Adult Summer Reading Challenge! Our theme this year is "Adventure Begins at Your Library"! Your goal is to read a minimum of 10 library materials(for example: magazines, newspapers, manga, e-books, audio books, etc.) appropriate for your age from Joeten-Kiyu Public Library, Bookmobile, or Fernando M. Benavente Memorial Library (San Antonio Branch Library) this summer AND participate in some awesome in-person activities available at your local library. After you have completed the reading challenge and participated in teen/adult sponsored library events, you will earn a certificate of completion. We will be tracking MOST books read for your age category with a deadline of July 31, 2024.
The Teen/Adult Summer Reading Program involves a virtual reading log challenge on READsquared found on our website at www.cnmilib.org that must be completed by/before July 31, 2024. This program is available online for the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library, the Antonio C. Atalig Memorial Library, and the Tinian Public Library. We encourage families to read 1,000 books with their children before they enter kindergarten.
